George is FOUR!

We can hardly believe that this boy is already four years old. He is turning into a really great kid. He's very laid back and easy to please. He still loves his mommy snuggles, for which I am very grateful.

This year for his birthday, which fell on a Friday, I made one of his favorites: macaroni and cheese and broccoli. My parents came over before dinner to give him his present (a toy tractor). Then after dinner, we gave George his present from us. He already knew what it was because he picked it out himself, but it still did not take away any of his excitement when he was opening it.

He got a 5-in-1 Thomas the Train track, a Thomas treasure train, and a train engineer hat and whistle. Daddy set up the train set that night and the children played until it was time for bed. Then they played all day on Saturday. George takes his trains very seriously.

That afternoon, my husband's parents came over and had dinner with us. This time we had pigs in a blanket, tater tots, chips, and baked beans. After that, it was time for cupcakes! George is very easy to please when it comes to making his birthday dessert. His big sister always requests something fancy, but George requested simple chocolate cupcakes with blue and green frosting. Gotta love this kid. It took me all of 20 minutes to make the frosting and decorate the cupcakes.

George blew out his birthday candle, licked all of the frosting off of his cupcake, and was ready to go back in the living room and play/open another present from my husband's parents. They gave him a toy boat made for going in the bathtub. George was ready to go take a bath immediately, but first we said our good-byes.

We look forward to seeing what the next year will bring us with George!
