Recipe: Strawberry-Banana Smoothies

We love smoothies at our house, and they are so easy to make. One of our favorites is Strawberry-Banana, and we make it often. The kids love to help and we take turns adding the ingredients and pushing the buttons on the blender. I imagine it won't be long and they'll be making it all on their own!

Strawberry-Banana Smoothies

Makes 3-4 servings

2 very ripe bananas (if they're not ripe enough, you may need to add a bit more agave or sugar)
2 cups frozen strawberries
1 cup soy milk (or vegan milk of choice)
2 Tbsp. agave
1 tsp. vanilla (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Enjoy!

Note: Sometimes I add a spoonful of ground flaxseeds into the blender if I feel the kids need an extra little boost of nutrients. It does not change the flavor but it does add more texture.
